Best revenue intelligence platforms in 2027, by what they do

The best revenue intelligence platforms for B2B sales, grouped by job (calls, forecasting, engagement), with a comparison table and where buying signals fit.

Revenue intelligence platforms record and analyze what happens in your deals (calls, emails, meetings, CRM changes) so leaders can coach reps and forecast with evidence. The main names are Gong, Clari + Salesloft, Outreach, Backstory (formerly People.ai) and, on a smaller budget, Avoma. They work on deals you already have. They don't find new buyers.

That last point matters if you're a small team. Most "best revenue intelligence platforms" lists rank everything together, including tools that do completely different jobs. This one groups them by what they do, says who each fits, and links the vendor's own page. Rodok is not on the list as a revenue intelligence platform, because it isn't one. We say where it fits at the end.

What is revenue intelligence?

Revenue intelligence is the practice of capturing data from every buyer interaction and turning it into insight about deals: which are healthy, which are at risk, what to do next, and what the forecast should be. Gong describes a revenue intelligence platform as software that gives teams a detailed view of their buyer relationships and engagement across every touchpoint (gong.io).

In practice a platform does four things:

  1. Captures calls, emails, meetings and CRM updates automatically, so reps don't type notes.
  2. Analyzes them: talk time, objections, competitor mentions, who is involved in the deal.
  3. Scores and flags deals that look healthy or stalled.
  4. Feeds forecasts and coaching, so a sales leader can inspect the pipeline without asking each rep.

Notice what is missing: finding the next account to contact. Revenue intelligence starts when a conversation exists. For the step before that, see what are buying signals.

The three kinds of revenue intelligence platform

The category has blurred, but most products still lean toward one job.

KindThe question it answersExamples
Conversation intelligenceWhat was said on our calls, and what's working?Gong, Avoma, Fireflies
Forecasting and pipelineWill we hit the number, and which deals are at risk?Clari + Salesloft, Gong Forecast, Backstory
EngagementWhat should reps do next, and can we run the outreach from here?Outreach, Salesloft, Gong Engage

Large vendors now sell all three under one roof. If you're buying for a team of five, you usually need only one of them, and the lightest version of it.

Best revenue intelligence platforms, compared

Prices come from each vendor's public pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026. "By quote" means the vendor doesn't publish an amount. Prices change, so check before you buy.

Conversation intelligence

These tools listen to your calls and show patterns across them. They are the entry point to revenue intelligence for most teams.

Gong

The reference product in the category. Its site lists modules for engagement, forecasting, enablement, a revenue graph and AI (gong.io). Pricing is per user plus a platform fee based on the number of users, and you get a custom proposal after entering your team size (pricing).

Best for: sales orgs with enough reps and calls for coaching and forecasting to pay back the contract. Watch out for: no published price, and a platform fee on top of per-user licenses. Ask for the full quote with the fee included before you compare it to anything else.

Avoma

A meeting assistant with notes, scheduling and call analysis. Plans are priced per "recorder" seat, and viewers are free. Startup is $19 per seat/month billed annually or $29 billed monthly, and the conversation intelligence and revenue intelligence add-ons are each $29 per seat/month billed annually, or $35 monthly (pricing).

Best for: teams of 3 to 20 who want call notes, summaries and basic analysis without an enterprise contract. Watch out for: add-ons stack up, so price the plan you'd actually need.

Fireflies

Records, transcribes and summarizes meetings. It has a free plan, and its pricing page lists Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans (pricing). We couldn't confirm per-seat prices from the page, so check it for current numbers.

Best for: teams that mainly want searchable call notes. Watch out for: it is a notetaker first. If you want deal scoring and forecasting, look higher up this list.

Forecasting and pipeline

These answer the question every sales leader gets on Monday: what will close this quarter.

Clari + Salesloft

Clari and Salesloft announced their merger in August 2025 (Business Wire), and the companies announced that it completed on December 3, 2025 (Business Wire). The combined site presents a "predictive revenue system" with Clari Forecast and Inspect for the pipeline, plus Cadence for outreach, conversation intelligence and Signals (salesloft.com). Pricing is by quote (pricing).

Best for: revenue leaders who want forecasting plus an engagement tool from one vendor. Watch out for: a merged product line can take time to feel like one product, so ask in the demo which parts share data.

Backstory (formerly People.ai)

People.ai now operates as Backstory, per its announcement in April 2026 (Business Wire). It captures email, meeting, call and CRM activity automatically, then shows which deals are progressing or at risk and answers revenue questions, including inside tools like Slack or ChatGPT (backstory.ai). Pricing is by request (pricing).

Best for: CROs and VPs of Sales who care about forecast accuracy and activity data without rep data entry. Watch out for: it targets leaders at larger sales teams, not a founder selling alone.

Engagement platforms with revenue intelligence

Outreach

Outreach describes itself as an agentic AI platform for revenue teams that combines sales engagement, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting (outreach.ai). Its pricing page lists Amplify plans by AI credit volume, with custom pricing on request. It says pricing is per user with no platform fees (pricing).

Best for: teams that want sequencing and deal insight under one login. Watch out for: a sales-led purchase, and a broad suite you'll only partly use.

Where Rodok fits (and where it doesn't)

Rodok is not a revenue intelligence platform. It does not record calls, score open deals or produce a forecast through call analysis. What it does is find buying signals on LinkedIn, mark each one hot or warm with a short AI write-up of why it matters, find the person to contact, and run email sequences from your own Gmail or Outlook, with LinkedIn steps as tasks for the rep. Replies are sorted by AI, and the built-in CRM has reports and forecasting for the pipeline you build.

Think of it as the two ends of the funnel:

StageQuestionTool type
Before the first callWho should we contact this week, and why?Signals and outreach (Rodok)
During the dealWhat's happening in our calls, and is this deal at risk?Revenue intelligence (Gong, Avoma, Backstory)
LeadershipWill we make the number?Forecasting (Clari + Salesloft, Gong Forecast)

A sensible small-team path: use signals to fill the pipeline, add a light call recorder like Avoma or Fireflies once you have 30 or so calls a month to learn from, and only look at a platform like Gong when you have managers who coach. See best sales intelligence tools for the contact-data side, and signal-based selling for how the first stage works.

How to choose a revenue intelligence platform

  1. Count your calls. If your team has fewer than 20 or 30 recorded calls a month, there is not enough data for patterns. A notetaker is enough.
  2. Name the buyer of the tool. Who will open it every week: reps, managers or the CRO? Reps need notes and next steps. CROs need forecasts. Pick for that person.
  3. Check the CRM sync. The platform is only as good as the data it writes back. Test it against your CRM in a trial.
  4. Ask for the all-in price. With Gong and similar vendors, ask for the license cost, the platform fee, onboarding and any add-on modules in one quote.
  5. Run the pilot on real deals. Give it 2 to 4 weeks and ask: did it tell us something we didn't already know?

Frequently asked questions

What is revenue intelligence?

Revenue intelligence is the practice of capturing data from buyer interactions (calls, emails, meetings, CRM updates) and turning it into insight about deal health, rep performance and the forecast. Revenue intelligence platforms automate that capture and analysis.

What is the best revenue intelligence platform?

It depends on your size. Gong is the best-known for conversation intelligence at larger sales orgs. Clari + Salesloft and Backstory focus on forecasting and deal insight. Avoma is a lighter, cheaper option for small teams. None of them find new prospects.

What is the difference between revenue intelligence and conversation intelligence?

Conversation intelligence analyzes what is said on calls and meetings. Revenue intelligence is broader: it adds email and CRM activity, deal scoring and forecasting. Most revenue intelligence platforms include conversation intelligence, and many conversation tools are adding forecasting.

Is Rodok a revenue intelligence platform?

No. Rodok finds buying signals on LinkedIn, marks them hot or warm, and runs the outreach that follows, with a CRM built in. It works before the first conversation, while revenue intelligence platforms work on deals already in progress. They can sit side by side.

Do small teams need a revenue intelligence platform?

Usually not at first. With a few reps and few calls a week, a free or cheap meeting recorder plus a CRM covers most of what you need. Spend the first budget on finding the right accounts, then add revenue intelligence when you have enough calls and managers to coach.

How much do revenue intelligence platforms cost?

Gong, Clari + Salesloft, Outreach and Backstory don't publish prices, so you need a quote. Avoma publishes its prices, starting at $19 per seat a month billed annually, with add-ons at $29 per seat. Expect enterprise tools to be priced for whole sales teams, not individual sellers.
