Short answer: UserGems is the specialist for champion and job-change tracking, but its plans start at $40,000 a year. The main alternatives are Rodok, Champify, Unify, Clay, Amplemarket and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. They differ most on price, on where the job changes come from (your CRM, a list you upload, or LinkedIn), and on whether outreach is built in.
What UserGems costs
UserGems publishes its prices, which is more than most enterprise tools do. On its pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026:
| Plan | Price | One-time implementation | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $40,000/year | $3,000 | 4,000,000 |
| Advanced | $75,000/year | $5,000 | 10,000,000 |
| Elite | $150,000/year | $10,000 | 25,000,000 |
Every plan includes unlimited admin and end users. An optional "Retroactive Job Change Leads" add-on costs $3,000 one time, and UserGems offers money back if you don't see ROI in closed-won revenue. The page doesn't mention monthly billing or a free trial.
What UserGems does well
UserGems now calls itself an "AI Command Center for outbound and ABM" on its homepage. Job changes are one of its native signals, next to website visits, hiring and M&A, and AI agents (a Research Agent and a Writing Agent) do the research and the first draft.
The core is still the champion play. Its Past Champions signal watches the former buyers, users and evaluators you add, checks them weekly for job changes, and shows their new company and contact details. From there it can create the contact in your CRM, alert the rep in Slack or start an email sequence. It connects to Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics, and to Outreach, Salesloft and Gong Engage.
For an enterprise team with thousands of past buyers in Salesforce, that is a fair trade. For a team of 5 with a few hundred customers, $43,000 in the first year is hard to justify on one signal type.
Why teams look for a UserGems alternative
- The entry price. $40,000 a year plus implementation is a budget line that needs sign-off. Smaller teams want to test the play before committing.
- They want more than past champions. "Anyone who just became a head of sales at a SaaS company in Germany" is a different job from "our old buyers who moved." Both are job changes; only one depends on your customer base.
- They don't run Salesforce or a big sales engagement stack. Much of the value comes from the workflows into those tools.
- They want the message, not just the alert. A job-change alert is only useful if someone writes to that person in their first weeks.
What to look for in an alternative
Before you compare tools, answer four questions:
- Whose job changes do you care about? Past champions and users (people you know), or new people in a target role (people you don't know yet). Some tools only do one.
- How fresh is it? Weekly is fine for champions. For new hires in a target role, a daily check gives you a better first-week window.
- Does it find the new contact details? A new title with no email at the new company means manual work for every alert.
- What happens next? A CRM task, a sequence, a Slack ping. If nothing happens next, the signal goes stale.

Rodok
Rodok tracks job changes on LinkedIn in two ways. A job-change tracker finds people who started a role in the last 90 days, filtered by title, function, seniority, company size, market and industry, or only the new changes day by day. A watchlist follows the specific people and companies you care about, such as past champions, and shows their moves, arrivals and posts.
Each signal is judged for fit and marked hot or warm, with a short AI write-up of why it matters. Rodok fills in the person's company and LinkedIn page, helps write the first message, and lets you enroll them in a sequence: email from your own Gmail or Outlook, with LinkedIn steps as tasks for the rep. Replies are sorted by AI, and everything lives in the built-in CRM.
Best for: small and mid-size B2B teams who want both plays (past champions and new people in target roles) and the outreach that follows, at a small-team price. Watch out for: Rodok works from LinkedIn and has its own CRM; it connects to Gmail and Outlook, not to Salesforce or HubSpot. If your process has to live in Salesforce, that matters.
Champify
Champify is the closest like-for-like alternative. Its Relationship Tracking follows your contacts as they move, it syncs your team's calendars, and the Pro plan adds executive new hires at target accounts. It runs as a Salesforce package with unlimited users. Lite starts at $500 a month for 5,000+ tracked contacts, Pro at $2,500 and Enterprise at $5,000, per its pricing page.
Best for: Salesforce teams who want champion tracking without the UserGems price. Watch out for: the page says there's no native HubSpot integration, and there's no free trial listed (it offers a demo and a data test instead).
Unify
Unify combines signals, enrichment and outreach. Job change and hiring signals are included from the Base plan, alongside phone and email enrichment, multichannel sequences with one mailbox per seat and a click-to-call dialer. The free plan covers up to 3 seats, and Pro has a 14-day trial with no card, per its pricing page.
Best for: teams who want a self-serve signal-to-sequence tool and are happy to pay per seat. Watch out for: signals cost credits, and the page notes that niche sources cost significantly more than the average. CRM sync is read-only on Pro and read/write only on the Business plan.
Clay
Clay lets you build a job-change workflow yourself: import your past customers, add job change signals (included from the Launch plan), enrich the new company, write the line with AI and push it to a sequencer. It has a free plan, and the Launch card shows $167 a month on its pricing page, with usage tiers above and below that.
Best for: teams with a GTM engineer who wants full control over the data and the logic. Watch out for: you build and maintain the table, and every enrichment and action uses credits. See our planned Clay alternatives guide if that's the part you want to avoid.
Amplemarket
Amplemarket is a full outbound platform with job change alerts built in: 500 tracked contacts on the Startup plan, 1,000 on Growth and 2,000 on Elite. Startup is $600 a month for 2 users on an annual term and includes a 27,000-contact database, multichannel sequences and AI intent signals, per its pricing page.
Best for: small outbound teams who want data, signals and sequences in one paid platform. Watch out for: 500 tracked contacts is enough for a focused champion list, not a large customer base.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
If you only need to know when a handful of people move, Sales Navigator's alerts on saved leads cover job changes. Core is $119.99 a month per license on monthly billing ($1,079.88 a year), per LinkedIn's plans page.
Best for: a single rep watching a short list of champions. Watch out for: you save every lead by hand, there's no email sequencer, and the alert doesn't come with a message or a next step.
When UserGems is still the right choice
To be fair to UserGems: if you have a large installed base in Salesforce or HubSpot, run Outreach or Salesloft, and want AI agents, ad audiences and buying stages in one contract, it's built for exactly that. The money-back guarantee also lowers the risk of a big commitment. The alternatives above win on price and simplicity, not on enterprise depth.
How to switch from UserGems
- Check your renewal date and notice period so you don't auto-renew while you test.
- Export your tracked contacts: past champions and users, with their company, title and LinkedIn URL, plus the job changes UserGems already found.
- Split the list in two: known people (past champions) and target roles (new hires you want to reach). They go into different trackers.
- Rebuild the champion list as a watchlist, and write the target roles as a sentence: "new VPs of Sales at B2B software companies with 50 to 500 people in France."
- Rewrite the first message. Someone who just started a role wants something different from someone in year 3. Our planned new-role outreach templates cover this.
- Run both for 2 weeks if your contract overlaps, and compare what each catches.
- Remove anyone you contacted recently so nobody hears from you twice.

Frequently asked questions
How much does UserGems cost?
UserGems lists Core at $40,000 a year, Advanced at $75,000 and Elite at $150,000, with one-time implementation fees of $3,000, $5,000 and $10,000. All plans include unlimited users. Prices checked on November 1, 2026 on the UserGems pricing page.
Who are UserGems' main competitors?
For champion tracking specifically, Champify is the closest match. Unify, Amplemarket and Clay include job change signals inside broader outbound tools. Rodok tracks job changes and watched people on LinkedIn and adds the outreach and CRM around them.
Is there a cheaper alternative to UserGems?
Yes. Rodok's Pro plan is $79 a month for 3 seats, Unify has a free plan and paid seats from $20 a month, and Clay has a free plan. Champify starts at $500 a month. Each covers less enterprise ground than UserGems, so match the tool to the play you actually run.
Does UserGems have a free trial?
Its pricing page doesn't list one. It offers a money-back guarantee if you don't get ROI in closed-won revenue. Ask their team for the current terms.
How do I track when a champion changes jobs?
Keep a list of your past buyers and power users with their LinkedIn profiles, then follow it with a tool that checks for moves on a schedule: a watchlist in Rodok, Relationship Tracking in Champify, alerts in Sales Navigator, or UserGems' Past Champions signal. Reach out in their first weeks, when they're setting priorities.
