Short answer: the best Gong alternatives depend on which part of Gong you actually use. For call notes on a budget, Avoma or Fireflies. For a full revenue platform, Outreach or Salesloft. For finding who to contact before any call exists, a signals tool such as Rodok, which is a different category and does not record calls. Pick by the job: call analysis, forecasting or pipeline creation.
This article is about Gong the revenue intelligence platform at gong.io.
Why teams look for a Gong alternative
Gong calls itself a revenue AI platform. Its site lists Engage for outreach, Forecast, Enable for coaching and training, AI agents and a revenue graph that captures interactions across the business (gong.io). Its conversation intelligence page says it records and transcribes sales calls, meetings and emails and analyzes them for topics, objections, competitor mentions and buying signals (gong.io). For a sales org with managers who coach, that is the point.
Small teams tend to leave for three reasons.
- There is no published price. Gong's pricing page says licenses are priced per user, there is a platform fee based on the number of users, and you get a custom proposal after entering your team size. It lists no plans or amounts.
- It needs call volume to pay back. Pattern detection and coaching need many recorded conversations. A team with a handful of calls a month has little to analyze.
- It starts after the first conversation. Gong helps you run and learn from deals that exist. It doesn't decide who you should contact this week.
Three jobs hiding under one name
Lists of "Gong alternatives" mix tools that do different things.
- Call analysis: recording, transcripts, summaries and coaching. Avoma and Fireflies live here.
- Forecasting and deal management: which deals are at risk and what the number will be. Salesloft with Clari Forecast, and Outreach.
- Pipeline creation: knowing who to contact and why now. That is what buying signals are for, and where Rodok sits.
Rodok does not record calls and doesn't try to. It is a different tool for the step before the call, and it can sit next to a call recorder.
The Gong alternatives, compared
Prices are from each company's own pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026. "Quote only" means the vendor doesn't publish amounts.
| Tool | Main job | Records calls | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gong | Revenue intelligence, forecasting, engagement | Yes | Quote only: per-user licenses plus a platform fee (pricing) |
| Salesloft | Engagement, conversation intelligence, forecasting | Conversation Intelligence listed | Quote only (salesloft.com) |
| Outreach | Engagement, conversation intelligence, deals, forecasting | Conversation intelligence listed | Quote only; per user, no platform fees (pricing) |
| Avoma | Meeting notes, call analysis | Yes | Startup $19 per recorder seat/month billed annually, $29 monthly (pricing) |
| Fireflies | Meeting transcripts and notes | Yes | Free plan; paid amounts not shown, check their site (pricing) |
| Rodok | Signals, lead database, sequences and a CRM | No, a different category | Starter $29/month, Pro $79/month, each for 3 seats |
Salesloft
Salesloft's homepage groups its product into Cadence for sales engagement, Conversation Intelligence, Deals, Rhythm, and for leaders Clari Forecast, Inspect, Revenue Cadences and Analytics, plus Signals and AI agents (salesloft.com). There is no pricing page with amounts, only a prompt to talk to sales. See Salesloft alternatives for the Clari question.
Best for: revenue leaders who want forecasting and engagement from one vendor. Watch out for: a sales-led purchase with no public price.
Outreach
Outreach says it unifies sales engagement, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting in one platform (outreach.ai). Its pricing page lists Amplify plans by AI credit volume with custom pricing, and says pricing is per user with no platform fees (pricing).
Best for: teams that want sequencing and deal insight under one login. Watch out for: a broad suite you may use only partly, and a quote-based purchase.
Avoma
Avoma prices by "recorder" seat, with viewers free. Startup is $19 per seat a month billed annually or $29 billed monthly. Organization is $29 annually. Conversation Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence are add-ons at $29 per seat a month billed annually, or $35 monthly (pricing).
Best for: teams of 3 to 25 who want transcripts, summaries and basic analysis without an enterprise contract. Watch out for: the add-ons stack, so price the plan you would really need.
Fireflies
Fireflies records, transcribes and summarizes meetings. Its pricing page lists Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, charged per seat, but the amounts didn't come through when we checked, so check the page (pricing).
Best for: teams that mainly want searchable call notes. Watch out for: it is a notetaker first. If you need deal risk and forecasting, look at the platforms above.
Rodok
Rodok doesn't do what Gong does, and the honest comparison is "different tool for a different stage." It is a CRM (Starter) plus signals, a lead database and sequences (Pro). You describe a signal in a sentence ("VPs of Sales who started at B2B software companies in the last 90 days"), trackers find matching LinkedIn posts, job changes and watchlist moves on a schedule, and each is marked hot or warm with a short note. The lead database finds people by title, seniority, company size, industry and market and usually returns a work email. Sequences send email steps from your own Gmail or Outlook, LinkedIn steps become tasks for the rep, and replies are sorted by AI. The CRM has deals, reports and forecasting for the pipeline you build.
Best for: small teams whose problem is filling the pipeline. Watch out for: if your goal is to analyze recorded calls or coach reps, you need a recorder next to it.
How to choose
1. Count your recorded calls
If you have fewer than 20 or 30 recorded calls a month, a notetaker is enough. Platforms earn their price when managers have enough calls to coach from.
2. Name the person who will open it weekly
Reps want notes and next steps. Managers want coaching. A CRO wants the forecast. Buy for that person. Our best revenue intelligence platforms guide groups the category by job.
3. Fix the top of the funnel first
A recorder can't fill an empty pipeline. If you have too few conversations, work on who you contact and when. The signal-based selling guide shows a weekly routine.
4. Get the full quote
For any quote-based tool, ask for the total with platform fees, minimum seats and contract length, and compare that to a published price.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Gong?
It depends on the job. Avoma or Fireflies for call notes on a budget, Outreach or Salesloft for a broad revenue platform, and Rodok if the real problem is finding who to contact before the first call.
How much does Gong cost?
Gong doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page says licenses are priced per user with a platform fee based on the number of users, and you get a custom proposal. Ask for the total including the platform fee.
Can I use Rodok instead of Gong?
Not for the same job. Rodok does not record or analyze calls. It finds buying signals, the people to contact and the first message, runs the outreach and keeps the CRM. Some teams use a signals tool for pipeline and a recorder for calls.
