Short answer: the best Lemlist alternatives are Instantly and Smartlead for high-volume cold email, Apollo for a contact database with sequences, Woodpecker for plain email and LinkedIn campaigns, and Rodok for small teams that want to start from buying signals and keep sequences and a CRM in one place. Choose by what you need most: volume, channels or timing.
This article is about Lemlist the outreach platform at lemlist.com. For a side-by-side with Rodok, see Rodok vs Lemlist.
Why teams look for a Lemlist alternative
Lemlist calls itself an AI-powered sales engagement platform covering lead sourcing, outreach and deliverability. Campaigns can run across email, LinkedIn, calls, WhatsApp and SMS from one workflow, with a unified inbox, a 650M+ lead database and a deliverability hub with built-in warm-up (lemlist.com). It is a complete tool for teams that send a lot.
The reasons people look elsewhere are fairly consistent.
- The price builds up. On the pricing page the Email plan is $69/month ($55 billed annually) and Multichannel is $109/month ($87 billed annually), priced per user. Lead data enrichment is an add-on at $20/month ($16 annually) and buying intent signals are another at $29/month ($21 annually) for 100 signals. Prices checked on November 1, 2026.
- Signals are an add-on with a monthly cap. If timing is how you win, a fixed allowance of 100 signals on the entry add-on can run out.
- Outreach, not a CRM. The pages we read describe CRM integrations rather than a built-in CRM, so deals live somewhere else.
- LinkedIn automation has a risk. Multichannel includes LinkedIn automation, which acts on your own account. Read LinkedIn's terms and keep volumes low.
Volume, channels or timing
- Volume: how many emails can you send, from how many mailboxes? Instantly and Smartlead.
- Channels: email plus LinkedIn, calls and SMS. Lemlist, Woodpecker and Apollo.
- Timing: a reason to write now. That is the job of buying signals, and where Rodok starts.

Instantly
Instantly sells cold email with unlimited email accounts. Its pricing page splits Outreach plans (Growth at $47/month, 5,000 emails a month, 1,000 contacts), Credits plans for the lead database and AI tools, and Bundles that combine them. The page showed some plans at more than one price in different sections, so check the total you will pay (pricing). More in Instantly alternatives.
Best for: sending a lot of email from many mailboxes. Watch out for: it is email only, and the page's CRM description covers a master inbox rather than deals and reports.
Smartlead
Smartlead's site promotes unlimited mailboxes, automated warm-ups and sender rotation, and one shared inbox for replies. Base is $39/month ($32 annually) with 6,000 emails and 2,000 contacts, and Pro is $94/month ($78 annually) with 90,000 emails and 30,000 contacts (smartlead.ai, pricing). All plans come with a free trial and no card, per its FAQ.
Best for: agencies and high-volume senders. Watch out for: you will bring or buy your own data and run a separate CRM.
Apollo
Apollo combines contacts, sequences, deliverability tools, a parallel dialer and signals such as intent, job changes and website visits, and you can sign up free with no card required (apollo.io). Its pricing page lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom without amounts, and notes that credits are pooled across the team and unused credits don't roll over (pricing). More in Apollo alternatives.
Best for: teams that want data and sending in one place at a self-serve entry point. Watch out for: credit limits.
Woodpecker
Woodpecker's plans are Email, Multichannel (email plus LinkedIn), LinkedIn and a custom Scale plan. Email and Multichannel include unlimited team members and email accounts, and sending tiers run from 5,000 to 1,000,000 emails a month. The trial is 14 days or 500 cold emails, whichever comes first (pricing). Its LinkedIn plan lists daily limits on messages and connection requests.
Best for: teams that want a campaign tool with a LinkedIn option. Watch out for: prices weren't in the page text we could read, so check the live page, and use LinkedIn automation within LinkedIn's terms.
Rodok
Rodok is a CRM (Starter) plus signals, a lead database and sequences (Pro). You describe a signal in a sentence ("people who just became Head of Partnerships at SaaS companies in Canada") and trackers find the matching LinkedIn posts, job changes and watchlist moves on a schedule, each marked hot or warm with a note on why. The lead database finds people by title, seniority, company size, industry and market and usually returns a work email. Sequences send email steps from your own Gmail or Outlook with A/B versions and a review queue, LinkedIn steps become tasks for the rep, replies are sorted by AI, and the CRM tracks the deals.
Best for: small B2B teams that want signals, outreach and a CRM for one price. Watch out for: Rodok has no phone dialer, SMS or WhatsApp, no warm-up network for many mailboxes, and a smaller integration list than Lemlist. If you need multichannel volume, Lemlist is the stronger fit.
What a like-for-like setup costs
A single user on Lemlist with the Multichannel plan and the signals add-on, billed monthly, is $109 plus $29, so $138 a month before a CRM. Rodok Pro is $79 a month for 3 seats, with signals, the lead database, sequences and a CRM on the same plan. The fair caveat: Lemlist's price includes automated LinkedIn steps, a dialer and a larger lead database, and Rodok's doesn't.
How to choose
1. Pick the channels you will really use
Most small teams use email and a few LinkedIn touches. If you will never use SMS or WhatsApp, don't pay for them.
2. Decide what triggers a sequence
A sequence from a static list says the same thing to everyone. One from a signal has a reason. See signal-based selling and sales sequences.
3. Add up the stack
Sender, data, signals add-on and CRM. Our best cold email software guide compares more tools by team size.
4. Protect your sending domain
Use a separate domain for outreach, start with low volumes, write short messages to people with a reason to hear from you, and include a clear way to opt out.
