Short answer: Persana's team joined Rox and the Persana platform shut down on May 2, 2026. The main Persana alternatives are Rox itself, Clay, Rodok, Unify, Amplemarket and Apollo. Choose by what you used Persana for: buying signals, enrichment across many data sources, or AI-written outreach. Few tools are equally strong at all three.
What happened to Persana
Persana announced that it was joining forces with Rox, and its team moved to Rox. According to Persana's own migration guide (dated March 30, 2026):
- April 1, 2026: the announcement went out, billing was suspended and active subscriptions were canceled.
- April 1 to May 1: a 30-day window to export lead lists, enrichment tables, workflows and reports as CSV.
- May 2, 2026: the platform was sunset and all remaining data was permanently deleted.
Rox was offered as the main path, with 2x actions on Rox self-serve plans for Persana customers, but the guide was clear that switching was optional and you could take your data anywhere.
If you missed the export window, the data is gone. You'll be rebuilding from your CRM, your inbox and your memory of what worked. That's less work than it sounds if you rebuild around signals instead of lists.
What Persana did, and what you need to replace
Persana's homepage still describes the product: 75+ buying signals (job changes, funding rounds, hiring, G2 reviews, website visits), enrichment from 100+ data sources, AI research agents for personalization and lead scoring, and email sending with an AI sequencer.
That's three jobs. Write down which of them you actually used:
- Signals: who to contact now, and why.
- Enrichment: emails, phone numbers, firmographics and technographics on a list you already have.
- Outreach: the sequence and the personalized first line.
A team that used Persana mainly as a waterfall enrichment tool has different needs from one that used it to catch job changes and send the same day.

Rox
Rox is where Persana's team went. It calls itself "The Revenue Agent for the Global 2000" on its homepage: an agent that generates pipeline, qualifies leads, books meetings and manages deals, connected to Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Outlook and Slack. Self-serve plans start at $100 a month for an individual and $255 a month for a team with unlimited seats, per its pricing page.
Best for: Persana users who liked the team's approach and want the official path, and larger sales teams who want an agent working across their whole pipeline. Watch out for: the product is aimed at large enterprises, and pricing is measured in agent actions that don't roll over, so estimate your monthly volume first.
Clay
Clay is the closest match for Persana's enrichment side. You build tables that pull from many data providers in a waterfall, run AI research on each row, add signals, and send through Clay's sequencer or your own. Seats are unlimited on every plan, including the free one.
Best for: teams who used Persana mostly for enrichment and want maximum control. Watch out for: you build and maintain the workflows yourself, and data credits and actions are priced separately. Our planned Clay alternatives guide covers the simpler options.
Rodok
Rodok replaces Persana's signals-to-outreach path, with LinkedIn at the center. You describe a signal in a sentence ("new heads of sales at SaaS companies in Europe", "hotels opening in Spain that are hiring") and a tracker finds the matching posts, job changes and hiring on a schedule. A watchlist follows specific companies and people. Each signal is judged for fit, marked hot or warm, and explained in a short AI write-up.
Enrichment fills in the person's company, website, LinkedIn page and photo, and the company's website, industry and size. AI helps write the first message, sequences send from your own Gmail or Outlook with LinkedIn steps as tasks for the rep, replies are sorted by AI, and everything lands in a built-in CRM.
Best for: small and mid-size teams who used Persana to find people with a reason to buy and contact them quickly. Watch out for: Rodok's signals come from LinkedIn, so it doesn't replace Persana's website-visit, funding-feed or G2 signals. It also connects to Gmail and Outlook rather than Salesforce or HubSpot.
Unify
Unify packages signals, enrichment and outreach in one self-serve product: job change and hiring signals, phone and email enrichment, multichannel sequences and a dialer. The free plan covers up to 3 seats and Pro has a 14-day trial with no card, per its pricing page.
Best for: teams who want Persana's all-in-one shape with per-seat pricing. Watch out for: signals and enrichment use credits, and niche signal sources cost more.
Amplemarket
Amplemarket is a full outbound platform: a contact database, AI intent signals, job change alerts, multichannel sequences and an AI copilot. Startup is $600 a month for 2 users on an annual term, per its pricing page.
Best for: small outbound teams ready to commit to a single platform for a year. Watch out for: the annual term and the limits on tracked job changes (500 contacts on Startup).
Apollo
Apollo is the default database-plus-sequencer for many small teams, with a free plan that has no time limit. Its site cites 240 million contacts and 30 million companies. Its pricing page didn't show per-seat prices when we checked, so check their site for current figures.
Best for: teams who mainly need contact data and sequences on a tight budget. Watch out for: credits reset each billing cycle and don't roll over; check which signals are included on your plan.
How to rebuild your Persana workflows
- Find what you exported. If you saved CSVs before May 1, start there: lead lists, enrichment tables and workflow outputs.
- If you didn't export, pull the same people from your CRM and sent mail. Your best list is the one you already contacted and got answers from.
- List each Persana workflow in one line: the trigger, the enrichment, the message. "When a target account hires a RevOps lead, find their email and send a 3-step sequence."
- Rewrite each trigger as a sentence a tracker can run: who, what happened, where.
- Decide where enrichment happens: inside your signal tool, or in a separate tool like Clay.
- Rebuild the sequence and rewrite the first line around the signal, not the company description.
- Remove anyone contacted in the last 90 days before turning anything on.
For more on the signals worth rebuilding first, see buying signals. If you're also replacing other tools that changed hands this year, see Trigify alternatives and Warmly alternatives.
Frequently asked questions
Is Persana shut down?
Yes. Persana announced it was joining Rox, suspended billing on April 1, 2026 and sunset the platform on May 2, 2026, per its migration guide.
Can I still get my Persana data?
No. Customers had until May 1, 2026 to export, and all remaining data was permanently deleted when the platform was sunset on May 2. If you didn't export, rebuild from your CRM and sent mail.
Did Rox acquire Persana?
Persana described it as joining forces with Rox, with its team joining Rox. Persana customers were offered 2x actions on Rox self-serve plans, but switching to Rox was optional.
What is the best Persana alternative for enrichment?
Clay is the closest match for multi-provider enrichment and AI research on a list. Unify, Amplemarket and Apollo include enrichment inside broader outbound tools. Our planned lead enrichment guide covers what to enrich and when.
What is the best Persana alternative for buying signals?
If your signals come from LinkedIn (job changes, hiring, posts), Rodok tracks them from a sentence and adds the outreach and CRM for $79 a month for 3 seats. For signals tied to a large enterprise pipeline, Rox is the official path.
