Rodok gives business bankers one pipeline for prospects, referral partners and next steps, with email and calendar on every record. Built around how banks and credit unions actually sell, so you start from your own stages instead of a blank page.

Your pipeline, in your stages

Deals move through the stages banks and credit unions actually use. Drag a deal, and its forecast and reports follow.

Example data.

The whole CRM, not just the pipeline. Contacts, companies, tasks, email, automations, chat and the lead finder, in one app.

People from one sentence

Describe who you sell to. Rodok finds them by role, company size and city, with their work email, and sets apart the ones already in your CRM.

A CRM for banking is where a banker keeps track of the businesses and people they are trying to win: who they met, what each needs, where the relationship stands and when to follow up. This page is about the sales side of a bank or credit union, mainly business, commercial and treasury teams. It is not a core system, a lending system or a compliance tool. The search CRM for banks points to the same thing.

How selling works in banking

Retail banking is sold through branches and marketing. Business and commercial banking is relationship selling. A relationship manager (RM) finds a business owner or a finance leader, learns the business, and over months or years builds toward a loan, a deposit relationship, treasury services or cards. The people who send business your way are accountants, attorneys, insurance agents and other advisors, and existing clients.

Common stages for a business banker, in the words used on the floor:

StageWhat happensNext step to log
ProspectA name from a referral, event or outreachFirst call
Discovery meetingYou learn the business, its banks and its plansRequest financials
ProposalProducts, terms and pricing presentedFollow up on the decision
Credit reviewUnderwriting and approval workKeep the client updated
Account openingDocuments signed, accounts liveSet the 90-day check-in

Rodok holds the stage, the size and the next step on each opportunity. The credit file, the application and the identity checks live in the systems your bank approved.

What to look for in a CRM

  • Relationship view. One company, several people: the owner, the CFO, the controller and the outside accountant. You want all of them on one page.
  • Referral partners. Record who introduced each prospect so you can return the favor.
  • Email and calendar on the record. Business bankers spend their day in meetings and in the inbox.
  • Tasks that return. "Call after their fiscal year end" should show on that day.
  • Permissions. Control who can see which accounts and notes.
  • A security review you can pass. Banks usually run vendor due diligence before any tool holds client information. Expect questions about hosting, access control and data handling, and ask your compliance and security teams what they need. Rodok does not claim certifications it does not hold.

Credit unions that are not federally insured, and other non-bank lenders, fall under the FTC's Safeguards Rule for customer information (FTC: Safeguards Rule). Banks answer to their own regulators, so ask your compliance lead which rules apply to a sales CRM.

Signals worth watching

Public events that often come before a business looks at its banking. Each tracker is a sentence you type into Rodok Pro, which sees LinkedIn posts, job changes, hiring and company news.

  • A new CFO or finance leader. Tracker: "CFOs, controllers and treasurers who started a new role in the last 90 days at companies with 20 to 500 employees in (your market)". New finance leaders often review their banks. See new executive.
  • A funding round. Tracker: "companies announcing a funding round in (your market)". New capital needs a place to sit. See funding round.
  • A new site or expansion. Tracker: "companies announcing a new office, plant or location in (your market)". Expansion often needs financing. See new office or market.
  • A hiring surge. Tracker: "companies hiring 15 or more roles at once in (your market)". Payroll and cash management needs grow. See hiring surge.
  • A leadership transition. Tracker: "founders and owners announcing they are handing over the company". See leadership change.

A first message example

An example, with made-up names:

Subject: Congratulations on the plant expansion Hi Lena, saw that Fenwick Foods announced a second plant in Dayton. Expansion tends to bring questions on equipment financing and cash management. I work with food manufacturers in the region. If you would like to compare notes, I can come by for 20 minutes whenever suits.

Where Rodok fits and where it does not

Rodok Starter is $29 a month for 3 seats: companies, people, deals, tasks, notes, Gmail and Outlook sync, a calendar, booking links, reports and team chat. Pro is $79 a month for 3 seats and adds LinkedIn signals, a lead database that finds the person and usually a work email, sequences and AI.

It is built for B2B teams, so it fits business and commercial banking far better than retail. It is not core banking, loan origination, KYC or AML, and it does not archive communications for regulators. It does not connect to those systems. Email rules also apply: the FTC states CAN-SPAM has no exception for business-to-business email (FTC guide).

Frequently asked questions

Do business bankers need a CRM?

If you manage dozens of relationships and prospects, yes. A shared record of who met whom, what was promised and when to call keeps relationships alive when someone leaves or goes on vacation.

Is a banking CRM the same as core banking software?

No. Core banking runs accounts and transactions. A CRM tracks the sales relationship before and around them.

Can a small bank or credit union use Rodok?

For business development, yes. Your compliance and security teams should review any tool before it holds client information, and Rodok is not a replacement for your regulated systems.
