Track every shipper from the first lane review to the signed contract, with the quote, the trial and the renewal date on the record. Built around how logistics companies actually sell, so you start from your own stages instead of a blank page.

Your pipeline, in your stages

Deals move through the stages logistics companies actually use. Drag a deal, and its forecast and reports follow.

Example data.

The whole CRM, not just the pipeline. Contacts, companies, tasks, email, automations, chat and the lead finder, in one app.

Start with Pro

A CRM for logistics keeps every shipper, quote and contract in one pipeline, so your sales team can see which accounts are quoting, which are trialing and which renew soon. It is a sales tool. It does not dispatch loads, track shipments or bill freight. Brokers, third-party logistics providers and carriers with a sales team use one for the same reason: the account is won by follow-up, not by one good rate.

How selling works in logistics

The buyer is a logistics or supply chain manager, a director of transportation, a procurement lead or, at smaller shippers, the owner. They compare price, but also reliability and how quickly your team answers. Logistics sales has two speeds: spot quotes that need an answer in hours, and contracted business that comes through a bid or a review of the routing guide, sometimes once a year.

Because a shipper usually uses several providers, the first win is often a few lanes or a trial period, and the account grows from there. Staying in touch matters, because the shipper's volume, lanes and pain points change.

Stages that fit a logistics sales pipeline:

StageWhat it meansNext step to log
LeadA shipper you want to work withReach the logistics contact
Lane reviewYou know lanes, volume and equipmentPrepare a quote
QuoteRates are with the shipperFollow up the next day, then weekly
Trial loadsA few loads are movingReview service with them after two weeks
ContractThey agreed to a volume or a termSet the review and renewal date

Log the lanes in notes or on the company record, so the next rep knows what was quoted. See what a sales pipeline is.

What to look for in a CRM

  • Fast follow-up. A quote that sits for two days loses to the broker who answered in two hours. Tasks and email on the record help.
  • Several contacts per shipper. Operations, procurement and finance each care about different things. Link all of them to the company.
  • Dates for bids and renewals. If a shipper rebids in the spring, the reminder should come in winter.
  • Notes on lanes, volume and equipment. A consistent format for them makes it easier to match capacity to prospects.

Signals worth watching

Public events that often come before a shipper reviews its logistics providers. Each tracker is a sentence you type into Rodok Pro, which reads LinkedIn posts, job changes, hiring and company news.

  • A new supply chain or logistics leader. Tracker: "directors and VPs of logistics, transportation or supply chain who started a new role in the last 90 days at companies with 50 to 2,000 employees". New leaders often review providers. See new executive.
  • A new warehouse, plant or distribution center. Tracker: "companies announcing a new warehouse, plant or distribution center in (your region)". See new office or market.
  • Hiring in logistics. Tracker: "companies hiring a logistics coordinator, transportation manager or freight analyst in (your region)". Growing volume often shows up here. See hiring surge.
  • A product launch or a new retail partner. Tracker: "companies announcing a product launch or a new retail partnership". New volume needs capacity. See product launch.
  • A post about a carrier problem. Tracker: "posts from supply chain managers about late deliveries, rates or carrier problems". See pain point posts.

A first message example

An example, with made-up names:

Subject: New distribution center in Columbus Hi Dee, I saw Coastline Beverages is opening a distribution center in Columbus. We move temperature-sensitive freight in the Midwest, and I would like to send a quote on any lanes in or out of the new site. If your routing guide is closed until next year, I can check back then.

Where Rodok fits and where it does not

Rodok Starter is a sales CRM: companies, people, deals, tasks, notes, files, Gmail and Outlook on every record, a calendar, booking links, reports and team chat. Pro ($79 a month for 3 seats) adds LinkedIn signals, a lead database, sequences and AI.

It does not do transportation management, dispatch, load boards, carrier compliance, shipment tracking or freight billing. Those belong in your operational systems, and Rodok does not integrate with them. Use it for the accounts you want to win and keep.

Frequently asked questions

Do freight brokers need a CRM when they have a TMS?

They do different jobs. The TMS handles loads, carriers and billing. A CRM handles the people you want to quote and the follow-up after the quote. Without it, the sales side runs on inboxes and memory.

How should I track quotes in a CRM?

Create a deal for the account, put the expected annual value on it and write the lanes in the notes. Log each quote in the activity and set the next follow-up for the next day.

How do I keep track of annual bids?

Add the bid date as a task on the shipper, a few months ahead, and note who runs the bid. If you win a few lanes, put a review on the calendar so you can ask for more.
